Overview
XYZ2CPC is a personalized transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) target planning software designed to provide clinicians and researchers with a practical solution for individualized TMS targeting without the need for neuronavigation equipment. The core function of the software is to convert individual brain target coordinates (XYZ) into Continuous Proportional Coordinates (CPC) on the individual scalp surface. Using these CPC coordinates, operators can quickly and precisely locate personalized cortical targets through simple tape measurements on the scalp.
The software provides a complete workflow for personalized TMS target planning: structural MRI visualization and interaction, deep learning-based automatic scalp segmentation and 3D reconstruction, interactive anatomical landmark identification, CPC coordinate system computation, cortical target planning with optimal scalp CPC coordinate calculation, and visualization and export of planning results.
XYZ2CPC is applicable to various clinical and research scenarios, including individualized TMS treatment for depression based on DLPFC-SGC functional connectivity, hippocampal network-targeted stimulation for Alzheimer’s disease, personalized motor cortex localization for stroke rehabilitation, and other neuromodulation studies requiring individualized cortical targeting. The primary users include clinicians implementing personalized TMS protocols, neuroscience researchers, and healthcare institutions with limited resources seeking to deliver precision TMS therapy.

Quick Start Guide
Get up and running with XYZ2CPC in just a few minutes.
Complete user manuals (English and Chinese) are included in the download package.
Once you have obtained the Pnz and Pal coordinates from the XYZ2CPC, you can gain a better understanding of how to manually locate the position on the scalp by watching the instructional video provided below from YouTube, or clicking the Bilibili link (Jiang et al., Brain Stimulation, 2022). Furthermore, the transcranial navigation system can be utilized for a more precise option (Xiao et al., Science Advances, 2018).
Note: The instructional video demonstrates the SGP manual measurement method, which uses CPC coordinates (Pnz and Pal) to represent positions on the scalp. While the SGP system includes an additional coil orientation parameter (Φ) for TMS applications, you only need the Pnz and Pal to complete the positioning when using coordinates obtained from XYZ2CPC.
